Innoklusio starts its roadshow trough companies

Innoklusio is the great project of job inclusion for people with disabilities in which we have been working for months.

The project has three main pillars:

  • The mobile exhibition at pilot companies
  • a one-day seminar for managers
  • an in-service education program to train inclusion managers.

The mobile exhibition began its one-week tour at BGW. There it addressed all employees.

It made its second stop at Beiersdorf and then left Hamburg to Deutsche Welle in Berlin.

The journey will continue and the exhibition will visit 7 more pilot companies of the Innoklusio program in the next couple of months: Boehringer Ingelheim at Ingelheim, Bayer at Leverkusen, HLLA, Hamburg Airport and Stiftung Rauhes Haus at Hamburg, GLS Bank at Bochum and Generali at Aachen.

The exhibition is intended to be the first meeting point with the topic of disability inclusion in the workplace for all employees of the pilot companies.

What is this exhibition about?

It consists of 4 interactive portals plus a Dialogue in the Dark black box.

Each portal addresses an angle of the disability inclusion theme. The entry to each portal is opened through a key question:

Portal 1 - green. Are you ready to question yourself? This is a self-reflection portal which features many exhibits and games about exclusion feelings, importance of job for social life, biases and more.

Portal 2 - pink. What stands in our way? Dedicated to barriers. Here visitors learn to identify barriers for diverse disabilities and listen to real stories of barriers at workplaces and solutions.

Portal 3 - red. What do you know about disability? Games and interactive quizzes to discover more about disability facts.

Portal 4 - blue. Can we talk? This portal focuses on inclusive language. Games to learn about sign language, inclusion rules for communication and practicing classifying words into inclusive or discriminatory.

The Innoklusio exhibition is highly interactive. It features elements such as graphics, interactive screens, audio, videos, table games, etc. Especial attention has been dedicated to accessibility so different tools such as audio description, caption, screen readers and others are used.

The visitors choose the experience according with interest and availability. Besides the 4 portals there is the brief Dialogue in the Dark workshop where visitors encounter with real persons with visual disability who conduct a short 30 minute session in the dark all focused on inclusive behaviors.

Innoklusio will continue its roadshow in the next months so make sure to visit its website and follow us on LinkedIn so you are updated!
